Applications:
In medicine, triethyl orthoformate is widely used in the synthesis of chloroquine, quinoline, dichloroquinoline, norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin, aminopyrimidine, etc. In pesticides, it is widely used in the production of azoxystrobin, pyrazofos, pyrazosulfuron-methyl, clopyrazosulfuron-methyl, rimsulfuron-methyl, pyrazoxenil and amitraz, etc. It is also an intermediate of acrylic fibers and submethyl dyes for the synthesis of cyanine dyes. Triethyl orthoformate can also be used in some development sensitive agents, as anti-halo materials widely used in photographic drugs and color film film and other photosensitive materials.
